At HAAB Project, we don’t believe in top-down communities. We believe in real connections, in spaces that invite you to stay, in relationships that blossom between breathwork sessions and cocktails shared by strangers who suddenly aren’t strangers anymore.
We’re a members club based in the heart of La Condesa, Mexico City. Yes, we offer coworking, wellness, and unforgettable events—but what we really cultivate is community. How do we do it? Here are a few of our not-so-secret secrets.
1. The space first, the energy second (but equally important)
A place can be beautiful, but if it lacks soul, it won’t connect. At HAAB, we design every corner as an extension of the body and spirit of those who inhabit it. From the lighting to the scent, every detail is made for you to want to stay—and come back.
2. Curate with intention, not just aesthetics
It’s not just about filling a calendar. It’s about curating experiences with purpose. Breathwork to connect, yoga to release, sound baths to heal. Every activity has a reason. And yes, there’s plenty of space for joy: drink & paint nights, cocktails, themed dinners. A community that only meditates but never laughs isn’t complete.
3. Membership is a doorway, not a wall
A members club doesn’t mean exclusion—it means intentional inclusion. We’ve built a diverse community, connected by shared values. We’re not looking for everyone to be the same; we’re looking for people who are on the same frequency: curiosity, openness, a desire to grow (and have fun).
4. Events are the language, relationships are the message
An event is not just a date on a calendar. It’s an opportunity for people to meet, talk, connect. We design every event as a chance to spark conversations, create encounters, and grow friendships. Community happens in the in-between moments: after the class, at the bar, during that “what’s your name?” moment.
5. Listen. Adjust. Repeat.
Nothing kills a community faster than people feeling unheard. At HAAB, we practice active listening—through surveys, casual conversations, and paying attention to the little things. We change things. We adapt. Community is not static. It’s a living organism that evolves with us.
6. Do it with love (or don’t do it at all)
Yes, it sounds cheesy. But it’s true. Everything we do is driven by a loving intention: to create a place where people feel seen, cared for, and inspired. It’s not just hospitality—it’s hospitality with purpose.
In short…
Building community isn’t a magic formula. It’s an ongoing process of creating, caring, and connecting. At HAAB Project, we do it with heart, with intuition, with trial and error—but most importantly, with people. Because in the end, that’s what we are: a space full of people who want to grow together, laugh together, and build something that goes beyond four walls.
So maybe this wasn’t a manual after all. Maybe it was an invitation.
